DAWN WILL RISE
Part 2: HEROES
Mark was anxious to get home. It was taking hours waiting to be assessed. All he had was a very big headache. Finally he asked his parents to take him home with his little girls.
Tony and Molly had gritted their teeth at what they termed "utter mayhem' and had agreed to leave their beautiful car in the care of their "less-than-satisfactory" daughter -in-law and her wild boys.
Although they said nothing aloud, their lack of empathy and grim silence spoke volumes. It helped that the twins were desperate to go home. Rose was fine, the doctors agreed, their crumpled clothes and frowns and unkempt hair persuaded the other staff to agree!
Dr. Andrew Harper, their cheery intern promised to call them sometime.
Any emergencies Dr. Archibald Bailey, their well-qualified and wise old GP was well thought of. The three invalids were showing signs of being in good health.
Mark hid his headache and slight dizziness. The hospital Emergency Department was overwhelmed with local populations burgeoning, with many in need from poorer countries - of medical assistance.
